Given that most Biblical readers know little of basic language let alone wordplay like, metaphor etc, so how can they even think they can comprehend a text that has baffled scholars for millennia?

Although I put the option on the poll, I'm curious. Why do people think Obama is the antichrist? Is there any rational basis for the belief? (obviously, we'll make the huge assumption that the antichrist was prophesised, the bible is true, e.t.c.)

The Antichrist is every spirit plus who has agreement through every human who rejects the Holy Spirit and his purpose in the earth. It is only those who create the largest obstacle before the work of Jesus Christ who will be noticed in heaven as terrorism against Heaven.

So if every "AGE" has an Antichrist there then must be his nemesis in every Age?

I was kind of wondering the same thing. For all he's trying to do right now(whether it will work or not) he's as close to a humanitarian that we've had lately, unlike the scum we've had in office the last two or three decades. Republicans are pissed because they didn't get their guy. Close minded religious types don't agree with the policies he wants to invoke. But, as far as a politician goes(since all of them suck regardless) he's a fairly good hearted individual. I don't necessarily agree with his choices as of late, but he's our guy right now. I did the same with Bush until that ship started to sink....did I say sink, I meant drop like a rock tied to a friggin' cinder block.

I voted for Bob the Builder. Since Barney or Mickey Mouse was not a choice, that was as close as I could get. All hail the false idols!
