I have done a lot of reading about what will happen in 2012 (or the near future) and this is what I have summarized.

The Earth was not designed for 6+ billion people, it is finite and has its limits....therefore a correction is in order. This does not mean I think the world will end, I just think that Earth (nature) has a way of keeping things in balance. I am of the opinion that should something happen, i.e. cataclysms, pole shift, giant comet, then it may not necessarily be a bad thing. Millions, maybe even billions of lives will be lost, but since our souls are indestructible, then there really should be no worry. Just a correction that is due to happen and Earth returning to balance.

For those remaining, there may even be a rapid increase in consciousness. I have heard it referred to as a change in density, i.e. from 3rd to 4th. Imagine living in a world where we are no longer living day to day, not knowing who we truly are and our place in the cosmos. A world of wonderful new technologies that are made aware to us by other more advanced civilizations that can now coexist with us. Look at it like this.....the human race is finally coming of age....it has taken literally millions of years to get where we are today, but we are only just beginning. In terms of the cosmos, we are but children, playing about in our playpen (Earth). But now, we are about to reach the level of a teenager and maybe get the keys to dad's car (if only on the weekends) to get to expand our world...we might even get to go to the mall down the street and hang out with our friends (roam the galaxy with E.T.'s).

So basically, the near future is not something to fear, but something to be EXCITED about. We are on the precipice of something truly wonderful and amazing, although it may seem foreboding and scary, embrace it and hang on for what will surely be an exciting ride!!

I have no intentions of scaring anyone and if you read my entire post you would have seen that (maybe I am giving you too much credit). I have no proof that what I say WILL possibly happen, but you have no proof that it WON'T possibly happen. But you cannot deny that there is some truth to what I wrote. And that is, that the Earth is a finite resource that cannot support UNLIMITED number of humans. This is a FACT. And it is not a matter of "IF" but "WHEN" something will happen to bring Earth back into the balance. So those of you of like COMET123 who want to bury your heads in the sand and "pretend" that everything is OK and always will be, then you go right ahead.....reality will just find its way into your exposed backside.....LOL.

Only God knows, so u crazy people quiet worrying and 2012. Not enough the angels in heaven know!

1)The earth and the solar system are ABOVE the galactic equator and steadily climbing. It takes around 32 million years for the solar system to move through and above the plane of the galaxy and another 32 million years to move through and down through to the other side of the galaxy. The earth passed through the plane around 25 million years ago.

2) Eris is so far away from the earth as to be barely visible in the largest telescopes even after multi-hour exposures. It is in an inclined, highly elliptic orbit that is takes it some 14.5 BILLION kilometers from the sun. [contrast this with Pluto which is 5.9 billion km at its farthest]. It takes around 560 years to make one orbit of teh sun which is about twice as long as Pluto.

I looked into this. They are images (submillimeter) in several of NASA archives. They might be a binary system or just a double star asterism. None of the archives gave this a name, probably because it is not visible except in infrared or submillimeter imaging satellites.

I found a 12.5 degree image containing these objects. ALL the stars in this image had tails.
The "tails" seem to be nothing more than imaging artifacts. The images were found in the IRAS archives.
